AND IN THE MATTER of an Application by the Barbados Light and Power Company Limited for Approval of the Implementation of a Fuel Hedging Programme and to Apply the Results and Costs of Hedging to the Calculation of the Fuel Clause Adjustment Pursuant to Section 16 of the Utilities Regulation Act, Cap. 282 of the Laws of Barbados.
 
NOTICE OF APPLICATION
 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that:
 
The Barbados Light & Power Company Limited (“the Company”) has filed an Application to the Fair Trading Commission (“the Commission”) for Approval of the implementation of a Fuel Hedging Programme, and to apply the results and costs of hedging to the calculation of the Fuel Clause Adjustment pursuant to Section 16 of the Utilities Regulation Act, Cap 282 of the Laws of Barbados (‘Application’). This Application will result in a Review of the Fuel Clause Adjustment Decision FTCUR/MTNDECESD/BL&P-2019-01 issued on April 23, 2019 and is made in accordance with Section 16 of the Utilities Regulation Act, Cap.282 of the Laws of Barbados.
 
NOTICE OF HEARING
 
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN THAT:
(i) In exercise of its powers under Rule 37 of the URPR, the Commission has determined that the hearing of the Application shall be by way of WRITTEN HEARING ONLY pursuant to procedural directions to be issued by the Commission at a later date.
 
(ii) During this hearing only those persons who have submitted a letter of intervention in accordance with the criteria as set down in the URPR will be entitled to participate.

The letter of intervention must comply with the provisions of Rule 7 of the Utilities Regulation (Procedural) (Amendment) Rules, 2009 (URPR) which amends the Utilities Regulation (Procedural) Rules, 2003.
