Career Opportunity The Fair Trading Commission, a regulatory agency, is seeking to recruit an Economist on a temporary basis. The Economist will be attached to the Fair Competition Division and will report to the Director of Fair Competition. The Economist will be a member of a team responsible for administering the Fair Competition Act Cap. 326C of the Laws of Barbados. The Economist will rely on competition law and policy frameworks, economic principles, and professional insights to lead assessments of economic sectors in Barbados; investigate suspected cases of anticompetitive conduct; review merger transactions that fall within the purview of the Fair Competition Act; and prepare investigative reports in the referenced areas.
