REFERENCE INTERCONNECTION OFFER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Fair Trading Commission has commenced its review and evaluation of a consolidated Reference Interconnection Offer (RIO). The consolidated RIO will replace the RIOs that were submitted at each phase of the liberalisation process namely: RIO-Mobile filed August 22, 2003, RIO- Domestic Fixed Wireless filed January 22, 2004 and RIO-International filed July 30, 2004.

The consolidated RIO was submitted by Cable & Wireless (Barbados) Limited as requested by the Fair Trading Commission on December 5, 2008 and will apply to interconnection services that Cable & Wireless (Barbados) Ltd. supplies to licensed carriers and service providers of – mobile, domestic fixed wireless and international telecommunications services.

This public consultation is part of the review process and, as such, the Commission is inviting for its consideration written submissions/comments on this RIO from telecommunications service providers, carriers and interested parties. Written submissions must be filed with the Commission on or before March 10, 2009.
