EXTENSION OF FEED-IN-TARIFFS FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES ABOVE 1 MW AND UP TO 10MW
 
On March 14, 2022, the Fair Trading Commission informed the public of its intention to extend the Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) Decision for renewable energy (RE) systems for Renewable Energy Technologies above 1MW and up to 10 MW.
 
The aforementioned Decision was issued on September 20, 2020 and relates to RE systems above 1 MW up to 10 MW, categorised by size and technology, and sets out rates at which RE generators will sell energy to the Barbados Light and Power Company Limited.
 
Having received no objections to the extension, the Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) Decision for said RE systems will be extended until June 30, 2022, or until the Commission determines new FITs, with appropriate terms and conditions, whichever is earlier.
 
The FIT Decision and can be reviewed on the Commission’s website at www.ftc.gov.bb.
