DECISION ON BARBADOS LIGHT & POWER COMPANY LIMITED’S NOTICE OF MOTION TO REVIEW AND VARY THE COMMISSION’S DECISION ISSUED ON FEBRUARY 15, 2023
 
The Fair Trading Commission (“the Commission”) has issued its Decision on the Barbados Light & Power Company Limited’s Notice of Motion to Review and Vary the Decision issued on February 15, 2023.
 
For the reasons given in this decision, the Applicant’s Review & Variation Motion is dismissed. The Order of the Commission made on May 12, 2023, at paragraph 33(a) of its Stay Decision, staying specified orders of the Commission’s 2023 Decision, is hereby lifted.
 
Interim Rates are to continue to be billed through to the date to be determined in the Final Order. The issue of refunds, if any, will be addressed in the Final Order.
 
The Commission will now formally review BLPC’s Compliance Filing, require amendments as is necessary and thereafter issue the Final Order outlining rates.
