 FAIR TRADING COMMISSION ISSUES CALL FOR CONSULTANTS FOR TARIFF SETTING
 
The Fair Trading Commission has issued a call for consultants to provide technical assistance related to the provision of institutional strengthening for feed-in-tariff setting.
 
The specific objectives of the consultancy would be to: assist the Commission in the development and design of feed-in-tariffs for the various sizes of renewable energy technologies that have been identified under the Barbados National Energy Policy; effectively and efficiently transfer knowledge from the consultant/s to the Officers of the Commission on the development and design of feed-in-tariffs for the renewable energy sector; and simulate the potential impacts of the proposed tariffs on the economy, independent power producers, distributed generators and end users.
 
The Terms of Reference document may be accessed here. Proposals should be submitted to the Commission by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.
