The Fair Trading Commission is seeking to recruit an individual to fill the position of Research Officer.
 
The position of Research Officer is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has the requisite skills to conduct in-depth research using a variety of methodologies.
 
The Research Officer will report to the Director of Fair Competition and will engage in conducting research and preparing investigative reports in areas related to anti-competitive business practices and the promotion of fair competition.
 
The ideal candidate must be able to provide evidence of his/her ability to write extensive research papers and use Microsoft Office and statistical packages for data analysis.
 
The Research Officer will be required to:
  • Conduct research on matters related to competition;
  • Engage in research on complex issues; and
  • Prepare reports detailing research findings for the Commission.
Applicants should:
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management or other relevant discipline;
  • Have a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience;
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills; and
  • Be willing to work as part of a team.
