COMPETITION LAW AND POLICY WEBINAR SERIES BEGINS THURSDAY 
 
 
The Fair Trading Commission will launch its inaugural Competition Law and Policy webinar series this week in an effort to educate participants about the important role that competition plays in business.
 
Hosted in collaboration with the United States Federal Trade Commission (U.S. FTC), the webinar series, which is free, replaces the Commission’s Annual Fair Competition Workshop. The first webinar will take place this Thursday, May 14 at 1:00 p.m. EST. The 90 minute session will feature Ms. Jasmine Rosner, a U.S. FTC Attorney with merger expertise across the pharmaceutical, technology and consumer products industries. Ms. Rosner will discuss Understanding Market Power and explore the benefits and disadvantages of market power, as well as the importance of competition in open markets. Participants may use the webinar chat to ask questions throughout the session, which will also feature an interaction poll.
