NOTICE OF MOTION TO REVIEW AND VARY THE FAIR TRADING COMMISSION'S DECISION DATED FEBRUARY 15, 2023 ON THE BARBADOS LIGHT AND POWER COMPANY LIMITED'S APPLICATION FOR REVIEW OF ELECTRICITY RATES

IN THE MATTER of the Utilities Regulation Act CAP 282 and the Fair Trading Commission Act CAP 326B of the Laws of Barbados;

AND IN THE MATTER of the Utilities Regulation (Procedural) Rules, 2003 and the Utilities Regulation (Procedural) (Amendment) Rules, 2009;

AND IN THE MATTER of the Application by the Barbados Light & Power Company Limited for a review of electricity rates pursuant to Section 16 of the Utilities Regulation Act, CAP 282 of the Laws of Barbados;

AND IN THE MATTER of the Decision of the Fair Trading Commission on the Application dated and issued 15th February, 2023.

THE FAIR TRADING COMMISSION HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that:

The Barbados Light and Power Company Limited (‘the Applicant') by Notice of Motion dated and filed on June 5, 2023 has requested that the Fair Trading Commission amend its Procedural Directions No. 2 dated May 24, 2023 and adjourn the consolidated hearing that has been set down for June 14-16, 2023 on the determination of the threshold test and the motion for review dated March 7, 2023.

The motion will be heard by Oral Hearing and held virtually via the Zoom platform on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2:00pm.

Parties to the proceeding will be given an opportunity to make submissions on the above mentioned motion to adjourn.
