PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON FEED-IN-TARIFFS FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEMS SIZED ABOVE 1MW and up to 10MW
  
On December 31, 2022 the Fair Trading Commission (“the Commission”) issued its Feed-in- Tariff (FIT) Decision for renewable energy (RE) systems above 1MW and up to10MW which expires on December 31, 2023. During this period, the Commission continues to monitor the movement of prices associated with renewable energy (RE) equipment, supply-chain issues, and the impact of these prices on the RE sector and consumers.
 
The Commission is reviewing the aforementioned decision and is seeking public input as part of the consultation process. This review allows the Commission to determine the appropriate pricing framework for these RE technologies to incentivise further growth in the RE sector.
 
As part of this evaluation process and pursuant to section 4(4) of the Fair Trading Commission Act, CAP. 326B of the Laws of Barbados the Commission will consider written comments from interested parties on the matters outlined in the consultation document.
 
Responses should be submitted via mail or by email no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023.
